Description

Tech god Christian Weaver has always loved teachers. Only, this time, he’s afraid he’s going to fall in love with one… Christian is brilliant, wealthy … and socially awkward. While everyone wants to throw gobs of money at him to write code and develop apps, no one can tell him how to understand people. Riley Zayat has landed her dream job, if not her dream life. She's worked too hard to give up everything for the overly forthright and too-smart-for-his-own-good Christian. Welcome to Breathless, Georgia! Southern romance with deep roots, twisted pasts, and big dreams.  This is steamy, dreamy romance—perfect for fans of Brenda Novak’s Whiskey Creek series or Nora Roberts' Inn Boonsboro trilogy. Reviews

  • Definitely Not “steamy”

Title is misleading. Not one steamy page. The entire book centered around the male character trying out his social skills and the female character using her teaching skills to navigate his social behavior. HEA but it ended after they decided to work it out. Lackluster would be how I described it

A great Love story, the main characters were wonderful. Read in a day, just took breaks and came back to read more. Teachers that work with gifted children are true treasures. Having had 2 gifted children in grade school in the mid 1970’s, this story, sure hit my heart. Having gifted teachers teach would have been wonderful. Thank you so much for writing this.
  • Sweet, not steamy

While the subtitle to the book says “steamy”, it’s not really. What it is, is a sweet story about two people with different perspectives on reality finding a way to make a relationship work. It’s a standard romance novel.

The characters have heart and it’s clear the author loves them- just like I did.

Complex, interesting and believable characters. Many unusual elements to this story make it stand out, and thus the 5 star rating. But, I won’t spoil it for you. Humor and heart in this one.
  • Lighthearted Read

This book starts earlier in time than the first book of the Breathless series. I read through it in just a couple chunks as it was a quick paced and light read. Although I didn’t like it as much as the others in the series, it was still written very well. The characters felt real and flawed. Sometimes frustrating as well! I was given an advanced reader copy, but that did not affect my review in any way.
