Lost To Us

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. While this is a part of a series, you don't have to read the prior ones to understand the story of this couple. The other daughters of the president do make multiple appearance though. I really feel that the entire series should be read to understand and appreciate the dynamics of the entire family. This is written in a multiple POV format. That really helps me to understand, identify and connect to characters so much better. In the prior book, we discovered that the former president had a summer affair with a woman prior to meeting his wife. Unbeknownst to him (Jim), when she turned down his proposal and broke up with him, she was pregnant. She never told Jim or her daughter about the other. Upon her death, a letter is given to Bianca Lucchese (her daughter) explaining that who her father is and how he didn't know of her existence. Bianca is married to Joe. The couple have been married for 20 years. After years of pressure from both mothers, Joe needs a break and volunteers to go to Africa to vaccinate the wildlife there. While he is away from his family, he is captured by poachers and beaten. Bianca suffers through several tragedies at home as well. In a moment of weakness, she betrays her vows. Will Joe manage to get away from his captures? If he does and manages to get home, will he be able to forgive Bianca for her mistake? How will she and the president's family manage to overcome the years of Bianca being lost to the family? This is a sexy read so just a word of caution.

Back to Italy where we met Bianca Lucchese who looks like Hannah Masters Manwaring, daughter of the former President of the US. Bianca and Joe have been married for many years, own a vet practice, are raising 2 kids but have been having problems with their mothers meddling in their lives. Joe goes overseas, Bianca’s mother passes away and a “bomb” is dropped…what happens next has twists, turns, ups, downs, unexpected happenings, tension, family meddling and so much more... If you haven’t read this series you are missing out on amazing reads!!

enjoy this series, it’s real with real issues, and how does one handle it We have a couple with plans of when children are grown they would do together. He ‘s doing it without her. Too much together at home and working together, he wants, feels they need a break. Those calls was there more to them. Is it a time of memories or doubts that will work in this marriage. Delightful characters, a plot that catches us from the first, to enjoy Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Kathryn Shay’s “Lost To Us” was masterfully written. It had all the elements of romance with tension and a bit of mystery. The dynamic of the main characters was intriguing as they also worked together, highlighting some realistic challenges. This book brought closure to this series in a way that updated all the characters while focusing on the main characters story. Definitely a five star ending to this series.
