The Winter of Frankie Machine

Sometimes, in the distant past you read a great book like "Sartori" but for the life of you--you just can't remember the author. Then you read a book called "Savages," and it's so good you go see the movie (which you normally never do, because the movies are rarely as good--just think "The Lincoln Lawyer"). which you see twice & read the book again. So you look up the author's older books & just can't put down "The Winter of Frankie Machine". All crime buffs should put down their Grishams & Demille's and read one of Don Winslow's. I'll bet you end up reading them all!
