Description

From a #1 New York Times bestselling author, the 6:20 Man returns, this time sent to the Pacific Northwest to aid in a complicated FBI case—and he’s about to come face-to-face with his nemesis, the girl on the train.

Travis Devine has become a pro at accomplishing any mission he's given. But this time it’s not his skills that send him to Seattle to aid the FBI in escorting orphaned, twelve-year-old Betsy Odom to a meeting with her uncle, who’s under federal investigation. Instead, he’s hoping to lay low and keep off the radar of an enemy–the girl on the train.

But as Devine gets to know Betsy, questions begin to arise around the death of her parents. Devine digs for answers, and what he finds points to a conspiracy bigger than he could’ve ever imagined.

It might finally be time for Devine and the girl on the train to come face-to-face. Devine is going to find out the difference between his friends and his enemies–and in some cases, they might well be both.

I read a lot of books and this is one of the best I have read this year.
  • Really Good except for the geographical mistakes

I usually really enjoy this authors book. This is the first book I’ve read of the author that was based in my home city. The geographical mistake kept taking me out of the story. For example smelling the ocean in downtown Seattle, not likely because the ocean is 3hrs away. More like smelling the puget sound. And other things like from downtown Seattle going through Mercer Island to get to Bellevue, not likely. Great plot, very relevant but those little details kept distracting me. Wonder what the folks in Maine thought about the last book in this series.

Given our current political situations I’d say that reading this book is chillingly accurate as to just maybe this is closer than we think.

Development and pacing is fantastic. I don’t remember what book it was but there was one that included two of his characters from series and I got confused, but his writing since then has been fabulous and back to his old grandeur

80 chapters of non stop action with no filler. This was a fantastic book! Good Job!

I love Travis Devine. He is a trained fighter and a brilliant honorable man. It started out as an operation to help an orphaned Betsy Odom and in the end brave Betsy Odom won all our hearts. In between was action, terror, traitors, murder, bombings, mayhem, vengeance and most of all good winning over evil. The traitors and their evil plot destroyed, as we know only Travis can do, and American lives and values saved. Great read.
  • Easy Fun Read

After the first two excellent books of the series this third installment doesn’t quite meet the standard, though Baldacci nicely weaves in The Girl on the Train storyline. It’s an easy and fun read though, great for a holiday weekend when you need a distraction if there are lot of people in the house 😑

Found this book exciting and confusing enough that I didn’t want to put it down. Another hit for Baldacci…….
