    As always, Rebecca Yarros delivers. This book certainly had more emotion to it than the previous two in this series. A little less spice, but for obvious reasons once you start reading. Not everyone is able to capture such strong feelings on the page, yet she does it effortlessly. I have read this book multiple times and each time it gets better. So many questions that need answered. I am already waiting for the next book in this series. Violet and Xaden have much left to their story and I can’t wait to read all about in the future novels! Please don’t make us wait too long, Rebecca.

    Absolutely loved the first book. But this book I felt was at times difficult to follow. I found myself rereading paragraphs over again multiple times to understand what was happening. I don’t think it was properly edited. For example who cradles a broken leg. At one point a sword is thrown at a character but they never tell you what happened. Did they dodge it, did it hit them? One reviewer said they felt like it was a lot of word salad and I think that’s an accurate description in the first part of the story. Since this is a popular series I think the audience deserved more from the publisher. I think the story was there but the book was hastily put together knowing people like me who loved the first 2 books will buy it anyways.

    This is the best book in the series and I can’t wait for the next one! The story line was amazing. Xadens development throughout the story was so interesting. The romance was also great with the yearning and having to wait. Overall it was such a fun read I definitely recommend!

    The third book is a little hard to follow in the beginning, a lot going on but you can’t put it down as the end draws closer. Can’t wait for the fourth to be released!

    Third book in the series and still easy to read and keeps you on your toes. My only complain is that everything seems gloom and doom and really hope that Violet and Xaden will find their way to each other. I’m a believer of never dying eternal love and I typically stop reading when love dies or no way for it to continue… there is too much of that in real life… PLEASE, please, please have a happy ending to this series!! I can’t wait for the last two books to come out!!

    Non stop action and a massive cliffhanger! GoT, Harry Potter, Danger Games rolled all into one! Best one out of all 3 books can’t wait for the 4th! This book had me in tears and sitting all on the edge of my seat at the same time!
