Description

Kevin Federline: dancer, father, accidental pop culture icon. His star rose electrifying stages alongside Pink, Destiny’s Child, Aaliyah, and more. But it was his turbulent marriage to pop superstar Britney Spears that made him a household name and triggered a relentless media storm, reducing him to a caricature in a world that barely knew him. Behind the tabloid headlines was a devoted father fighting for his children and his sanity, navigating the fallout of fame and a fractured family, as everything around him spun out of control. From the heights of global stardom to the pain of public ridicule, this memoir peels back the layers of celebrity, fatherhood, and survival to reveal the man behind the mythology. A man shaped not by spectacle or spotlight, but by love, resilience, and the steadfast resolve to give his kids a normal life. What you thought you knew was only half the story.

Very well written. I could envision him sitting in front of me telling this story and I believed every word! Thankful that he’s the person that he is and he took charge to make sure those boys were safe. Britney needs serious help. There’s not much you can do if they don’t wanna help themselves. Very sad.

Not worth spending any money on. Not too much insight contained. Constant bashing of his ex while absolving himself of everything was basically the story. I hope writing this made Kevin feel better because it seems that’s all this book was about. One extra star because it was an easy read.
  • Honest, insightful.

I was curious to hear the other side of the story, as I’ve heard Britney’s side before. This felt very honest, though I do sense a little bit of withholding on his part about his failures in his role as a partner/spouse. Anyway, it was worth the read and I believe his side of the story. She clearly has mental health problems induced from years of drugs and alcohol use. It’s interesting that she mirrors her father Jamie’s drunken fits that she wrote about in her own book; things like speaking gibberish and acting out in rage. I hope Preston and Jayden are able to find peace after being put through so much, I cried for them, my heart breaks for them. Kevin’s book is definitely geared toward defending himself, his life, and kids from the public scrutiny they have faced for so long. A good book for people curious about the truth in the midst of the drama, and yet have an open mind and are not reading it with beliefs already formed about Britney or Kevin. Everyone deserves to have their story told in their own words. It’s our right as human beings.

I have had a negative opinion about Kevin for YEARS. I was skeptical when I saw he was releasing a tell-all book. Boy was I wrong. This book opened up an entirely different prospective, highlighting the effects of mental health, addiction and abuse families face. I also believe it brought some insight to the effects that the “Free Britney Movement” had on everyone in the situation. I didn’t read a book wrote by a con artist or some looking for a payout; I read a heartfelt memoir written by a father whose life has been put on center stage.

Amazing read!!! Glad I got it! It’s clear that his ex-wife has struggled with mental health and addiction challenges. Thank you for the raw honesty while also being compassionate to your unique family dynamic and situation. This book answered a lot of the world’s questions and Kevin has been the most blunt and truthful. Praying for Britney to seek help and get clean for kids!🙏

I’m generally NOT a fan of tell all books, but this is really a story about mental health and its ripple effects. Everyone is touched when mental health issues are not managed well. Family cannot “fix it” but the person struggling needs to cooperate in the healing and recovery. Blessings on the children!

I went into reading this book with an opinion about Kevin already formed but wanted to see what he had to say. I thought he was a fireball for writing this book, but I do not feel that way now. I have a surprising change in opinion about him. I understand a lot more than I previously did. I recognize not all of it may be truth across the board but it is his view point and his truth. What he says tracks. I know most people have also had long standing opinions about Kevin and I hope some are curious like I was and take the time to read this book. Britney Spears has somewhat been my own Roman Empire, especially with her instagram postings. We are the same age so I lived thru the tabloid and pap mess. It’s been clear there is a deeper issue and I hope she can admit that one day. I also wish her boys the best.
